Ron has been a business consultant with Kinaxis for the past four years, and despite what his answers below may portray, he really does love his job. We promise! How did you come to find yourself in a supply chain software business consultant role – what was your path to here? Climbing mountains wasn’t challenging enough, so I picked supply chain management. What’s the biggest lesson about supply chain management you’ve learned? If it was easy, anybody could do it. What advice would you give to anyone considering a career in supply chain? Your greatest recurring challenge will be overcoming resistance to change. If you had to name three priorities for a company looking to evolve their supply chain processes, what would they be?

  1. Hire smart action-minded people, give them the mission of transforming the supply chain, and tell them, ‘GO!’
  2. Knock down the barriers to allow the ‘smart people’ to transform the supply chain.
  3. Make sure no one else in the organization screws with #1 and #2 above.
If you could change your job title to a comic or superhero name that would aptly describe what you do, what name would you give yourself?
